The Meaning Of Noble State

My internet personality serves as my growing alter ego

Today I wanted to write about lifestyle design. I’m going to be back and forth between a few topics I care about and am building my personal brand around. They are performance, lifestyle, and work. An interesting combo, yet at this point in my life I believe these are the niches in which I could serve the greatest.

When I was young I had this alter ego that was a prince in Italy. No idea where it came from, and I used to tell people that is exactly who I was- because I believed it. I used that form of identity as a piece of significance growing up, it fueled all of my behavior. Now, as weird as it is, I’m currently writing on a couch in Italy wondering if I ended up here as a result of extreme visualizations.

My alter ego didn’t do much, it just served as an anchor of who I wanted to be and what I wanted to collect. I needed status, a position of leadership, and to have the ability to help others selflessly. This wasn’t coming from a place of power or control as much as it was wanting to contribute. I wanted to live a life where I could create my own destiny (by being destined) to rule. Looking back now, I think it was a genius move. It structured all of my behavior, made me incredibly patient and laid back, and created a laser focus on what matters to me.

I was always a dreamer, and as I got older I had the ability to execute and make things happen for myself.

I began to become self sufficient, learned how lead and influence, and began to undertake projects that would help the common people unite. When I think of a prince, these are the qualities I imagine. Again, this isn’t placing myself higher than anyone else from a perspective of power; otherwise I would’ve made myself a King. To me a prince makes sense- it’s someone who will eventually grow into someone that is ready to accept complete power and use that to change the world. That’s who I believe I am. A forever student; looking to constantly find solutions through creativity and leadership that will help a group of people increase the quality of their life.

Now, do I still believe I’m a prince? Hardly. I’m Dakota Malone, I know exactly who I am. A regular boy turned man that grew up in between two cornfields in the middle of nowhere. Those dreams paved the way for me to grow into something much bigger, and continue to blaze the trail to this day. You see, heroes are born in mysterious places, often times led through the dark as a test to prevail holding the light. That’s who I am. I am forever holding a torch that simply cannot go out. I believe in lighting the path for others and showing them not how easy life is, but how fulfilling it can be through hard work and dedication.

I created my internet handle a couple years ago [Noble_State] with the intentions of following up on the things I believed in. Dakota Malone was already taken- so I needed something that reflected who I strive to be everyday of my life. It’s a double meaning with a play on words- and I would like to share that meaning now.

Noble-adjective- having or showing fine personal qualities or high moral principles.

State- A play on my name Dakota.

BUT ALSO

Magnanimous-adjective- proceeding from or revealing generosity or nobility of mind, character, etc.:

State-Noun- the particular condition that someone or something is in at a specific time.

I believe that it is built into my DNA to be a person of high moral principles. Thank the lord for my parents who raised me right. I don’t take any credit for who I am, and believe that everything I do that is just is a reflection of who they made. I fine tuned those qualities through becoming an Eagle Scout, pursuing psychology and behavior, and continuing my journey of taking care of others. They were also the ones who named me. The first meaning is one that my parents created. The second meaning, is who I strive to be.

To literally carry a noble state of mind is the embodiment of my alter ego that was founded years ago. It reminds me to give unselfishly, and to grow others around me. It was who I wanted to be and what I wanted others to see me as. Someone who could protect and take care of them, and someone who would show nothing less than absolute generosity- whether that shows in the form of my time or energy.

I’m reminded everyday that life is simply a state of mind- it’s a conscious choice that we get to make. I want to be in a condition of joy, love, hope, courage, and strength at all times. Often people think it is impossible to pull this off, yet they find themselves miserable all of the time. That’s because negativity is much stronger than positivity, but both are states that can be conditioned. Using my grounding beliefs that “this is who I’m meant to be,” I find it incredibly easy to dodge and combat negative behavior in my daily life as a result of years of conditioning myself. It’s not a matter of optimism, it’s being unrelenting with how you want your life to go.

I used a prince as an anchor for my ideal behavior years ago, and it absolutely influenced who I became as a result. I don’t believe in letting my internet personality control me, but the other way around. With the power of leverage through being online, we can reshape perceptions of how the world is viewed. I want people to understand that they are always in control of their life, that it is essential to take care of those around you, and that growing into the greatest possible version of yourself is where all the rewards in life are. This is my idea of lifestyle design. It’s not fast cars and women in your hot tub. It’s not spending thousands of dollars at the club for an instagram video. Stop being fooled by those reaching for significance in the wrong way. There’s nothing wrong with any of those things, yet I could think of a few ways that they could better serve their needs and others as well. Make a commitment to who your ideal self is, and go after it.

Thanks for reading! If you enjoyed, clap it up!! Also, please take the time to consider what is most important to you in your life. Think about who the best possible version of yourself could be, and develop an action plan to get yourself there. Leave me a message on all social media @ Noble_state, lets chat and tell me what you think!!
